Chef Gregg Brown joins Climatarian Kitchen for Waterperry Opera Festival
Cherwell Collective’s Climatarian Kitchen is thrilled to welcome renowned Chef Gregg Brown to our team for Waterperry Opera Festival.
Gregg is a passionate educator and chef who understands the importance of beautiful food and high-standard hospitality. His record speaks for itself: from London’s finest establishments at Mosimann, Blanc at the Dorchester, Savoy, and Sandy Lane, Barbados, to national leadership at Marriott, Brown was also the mastermind behind the launch of The Clink Kitchens. He’s come to Oxfordshire after lecturing at the University of West London. He has the skills and passion to make your Climatarian Kitchen dining experience at Waterperry Opera Festival truly exceptional.

Gregg will be taking a short holiday from his current amazing work establishing CookSchool in Deddington, to head Climatarian Kitchen’s lawn restaurant at Waterperry Opera Festival. CookSchool works to share knowledge and upskill the Oxfordshire community.
Climatarian Kitchen has historically welcomed guest chefs to its regular weekday cafe service as well as large-scale events. We love spotlighting how cooks from many different backgrounds can craft incredible plates with seasonal, surplus food and reduce our community’s food waste. Guests will be in for a treat next month as Chef Brown takes the lead at the Festival.

Climatarian Kitchen focuses on sustainable dining, using seasonal, responsibly sourced ingredients, including imperfect produce and community-grown food. Our mission is to reduce the carbon footprint of food by connecting people from farm to fork.
During this year’s Festival, attendees can enjoy one of two dining options catered by us:
- Three course Dinner – in the Lawn Restaurant, with choices of vegan, vegetarian, or meat-based main courses. (Available at 7.45pm between Friday 7th August – Sunday 9th August and Thursday 13th August – Sunday 16th August)
- Festival Hampers – filled with seasonal delights, perfect for enjoying in the gardens. (Available all festival days)

All dining options at the festival must be booked in advance, and menus will be subject to seasonal availability, as is always the case with Climatarian Kitchen. Both dining options will have vegan, vegetarian, or meat options. You can also choose from a variety of wines and champagnes when booking online.
