On Tuesday evening members of our team had the pleasure of attending the BBC Make a difference awards. Held at the Schwarzman centre for humanities, the event celebrated the amazing work that goes on in Oxfordshire.

The Stage at the BBC Make A Difference Awards, with host Sophie Law, who has previously hosted our Fashion Show at Blenheim Palace.

Hosted by Sophie Law and Jerome Sale, the awards were split into 8 categories, Active, Animal, Community Group, Environmental, Fundraiser, Great Neighbour, Volunteer and Young Hero.

Each category had some very worthwhile candidates and it was great to celebrate all of the finalists and to hear what impact each of them has on their local community.

Cherwell Collective was a finalist for the Environmental award, which was won on the evening by Earth Trust Volunteers. We were incredibly grateful to receive a ‘Highly Commended’ award for our efforts with the community and the hard work that goes on here.

Details of who won each catcegory is available on the BBC Website.

We are grateful to have been a finalist in this year’s BBC Make a Difference Awards amongst so many incredible organisations. In one of the busiest seasons for our team, it was a great moment to slow down and celebrate our accomplishments.
