The Sustainable Fashion Show at Blenheim Palace presented by Cherwell Collective takes place for the third year running on 29 September – tickets on sale now.

Can you believe the fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world, topped only by the oil and gas sector? We are joining forces with communities across the country to take action toward change during Sustainable Fashion Week 2026. We are pleased to announce that our Sustainable Fashion Show at Blenheim Palace will be returning for its third year running on 29 September. Tickets are now on sale online.

This runway show celebrates the innovations and victories of sustainable fashion designers changing the future of fashion, directly following London Fashion Week. Blenheim Palace has long been known for its historic connection to fashion shows and exhibitions and it is an honour to give this opportunity to emerging and local sustainable designers once again.

About the Show

Guests can look forward to a dazzling runway show featuring collections presented by over 10 designers with 70+ different looks.

Designers must sustainably design their lines; each will use rescued, upcycled, pre-loved, or innovated (non-textile) materials in their catwalk pieces, creating a fantastic creative display. Last year’s runway saw biodegradable materials like agar and preserved leaves, and innovations using dried overstocked supermarket flowers and plastic bags from shipping crates. We can’t wait to unveil what is in the workshop for this year.

This will be the show’s third year running. To date we’ve involved over 360 community members in presenting these shows, and have had our show named a cultural event of the year Oxfordshire. In 2025 we were also presented with the Cherwell Business Awards ‘Sustainable Business of the Year’ and Oxford Climate Award’s ‘Sustainable Medium Business’ award for our work on fashion and reducing the community’s carbon footprint. All that to say – you can trust us to make sure this year’s show is just as breathtaking and sustainable!

Inclusivity

Our Sustainable Fashion Show at Blenheim Palace is centred around the idea that sustainable fashion is for every ‘body’.

After all, whether you’re a fashionista or fashion-clueless, at the end of the day we all wear and purchase clothing, and all have a role to play in supporting sustainable choices in fashion. Because of this we make inclusivity a top priority in our selection process for participants. The collections feature designers from all walks of life and experience, with different target audiences and creative approaches to making fashion sustainable.

The show’s models are also representative of this idea: they are local, volunteer models who receive complimentary runway training from us and aim to represent diverse ages, sizes, orientations, and backgrounds.

Supporting Sustainable Artists

Traditional fashion shows either charge designers to participate (usually upwards of £5k!) or cost thousands for the designers to organise or put on themselves. This is obviously a huge barrier to small businesses and designers. Not only do runway shows get attention from the public and potential buyers, they also raise the profile of the designers and establish prestige and new networks. The bottom line is that fashion shows are important to designers, but are inaccessible to too many sustainable ones!

The Sustainable Fashion Show at Blenheim Palace gives the top emerging and local designers a free opportunity to participate in the show. Designers participating from other regions in the UK pay a ‘Carbon Cost’ fee of £1 per car mile they drive to attend the show. The fee goes directly back towards Cherwell Collective’s work to reduce the carbon footprint of the community. Cherwell Collective’s team covers all of the planning, coordination, logistical oversight, and even model arrangements (unless they prefer to use their own models). This is a real feat, made possible by the incredible support of Blenheim Palace and The National Lottery Community Fund.

It’s a beautiful thing to give such deserving designers a chance to present at Blenheim Palace. Blenheim Palace has hosted fashion shows for names like Dior and featured exhibitions with works by Vienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, and more. We know our designers will continue to do incredible things, and we have loved seeing how this opportunity has helped them along in their journey.

  • MultakaOxford, who participated in our 2024 show, later went on to collaborate with VIN + OMI on recycled plastic designs that saw multiple runways across the UK
  • Eva Clarkson, also a 2024 show alumni, was selected in 2025 for the CHANEL, le19M and The Kings Foundation Métiers d’art Atelier Fellowship 2026 based at Dumfries House in Scotland

It has been a huge learning experience for us, and the joy of the designers and guests each year makes it well worth the effort every year. Supporting change from the ground-up has always been and continues to be our mode of operation when it comes to driving change forward.
